The SCANORA 3D is a cone beam computed tomography x-ray system for imaging the dentomaxillofacial complex. Soredex service documentation describes a CMOS flat panel detector that acquires the three-dimensional images, with panoramic imaging available as an option through a separate CCD sensor mounted in the same detector head. Image capture, viewing and archiving are handled by SCANORA workstation software, which the manufacturer documents as the acquisition application for the system. Field-of-view selection, resolution setting and the panoramic option are configured per installation.
