NSK VarioSurg 3 Ultrasonic Bone Surgery System

The VarioSurg 3 is NSK's ultrasonic bone surgery system. Its LED handpiece drives ultrasonic tips for surgical, periodontal and endodontic work, with irrigation carried to the working tip. Alongside the standard Surg mode the unit provides a Burst mode that can be selected during a procedure: periodic vibration is superimposed on the continuous ultrasonic movement to produce a hammering action for dense bone, and the manual gives three burst frequencies of 10, 30 and 60 Hz to be chosen according to bone density. Handpiece illumination is adjustable across three intensity levels, and the FC-78 foot control conforms to IPX8.
