Dentsply Cavitron Select SPS Ultrasonic Scaler

The Cavitron Select SPS is Dentsply's compact-footprint ultrasonic scaler, marked TYPE GEN.-124 on the unit, built on the same SPS electronics as the full-size Cavitron SPS: two closed control loops tune each insert to resonance and hold tip stroke constant, producing 30,000 strokes per second at the working tip. Ultrasonic output is 35 watts at 30 kHz, from a 30 VDC supply. Lavage is adjusted at the handpiece rather than the console, and a two-position foot control activates scaling at the first position and Boost mode at the second. The unit accepts all Cavitron 30K inserts and weighs 425 grams.
